"Paper as a substrate has always been a favorite medium beginning in my early days as a graphic designer.  My studio is full of hand laid papers, watercolor papers in all sizes and textures, some handmade by local artists that bring yet another component to the table or should I say easel.  Marrying these with ink, paint, gold leaf and collage bring forth a different dimension than my works on canvas.  Once you have browsed the collection below be sure to view my Instagram page to see additional  "Works on Paper"   Russell D'Alessio
