Russ states creating "The Heart Reveled" was a unique process for me. I started with an original collage, digitally montaged it, and then added the finishing touches by hand-painting onto watercolor board. The combination of techniques allowed me to bring my vision to life in a way that felt expressive and impactful.
Bold black lines add movement and abstract elements, while splatters and splotches of paint create a sense of dynamic spontaneity and raw artistic expression. This piece truly exudes emotion and invites viewers to explore their own narratives within its vibrant forms.
